Today we visited The Carter Center, where one of my favorite US Presidents, former President Jimmy Carter, continues, at age 94, to do his humanitarian work around the world. Then we hiked up Stone Mountain. We then changed hotels where we moved from downtown to the Georgia Tech area…which I absolutely love! We finished the day with dinner at Mary Mac’s Tea Room where we tried southern favorites such as: fried chicken, tomato pie, broccoli soufflé, cheese grits, fried okra, collard greens, fried green tomatoes and topped it off with some key lime pie…mmmmm!
My mom will speak at a conference in Atlanta, Georgia so I joined up with my family to visit a part of the USA I’ve never visited before. Today we went to Auburn Ave. which one included the birth house of Martin Luther King Jr. as well as the King Center. We also walked around the center with Centennial Park and the CNN broadcasting building. Note: I’m wearing my green for St. Patrick’s Day ☘️
